Network Infrastructure ASP Closes $10 Million in Funding

Funding will enable provider of instant IP services to hire key employees to expand marketing, sales, and engineering workforce

September 21, 2000, Santa Clara, CA-Imperito Networks, provider of instant IP (Internet Protocol) services that enable corporations to rapidly deploy secure network infrastructure, today announced that it has raised more than $10 million in its recent round of funding. Investments came from Charter Ventures, Chase Capital, TechFund, Mitsui, and private investors, as Ill as a strategic investment from Cobalt Networks. This latest round brings the total amount raised by Imperito Networks to more than $15 million since its founding in 1998.

The funding will be used to hire key employees to expand the marketing, sales, and engineering workforce, as a result of the success of InstantVPN, the company's flagship service, which supports on-demand, real-time Virtual Private Networking deployment and provisioning via a user-friendly Ib interface.

Since its founding in 1998, the company has grown from three employees to more than thirty.
